I’ve got the problem, that before the game starts I get an error message “missing vcomp120.dll”. I use a gamer pc, enough discspace and Win 10. Registry is clean. I used the Microsoft help for solving the problem, but nothing helps.

I unpacked the game and go to launch and I get:

The program can’t start because VCOMP120.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I have verified integrity of game cache three times and it has downloaded missing files but it is not helping. Anyone else with this issue and a possible fix?

Update: Turns out I needed to manually unpack commonredists in the XCOM2 steam folder. Manually unpack vcredist 2012 and 2013 for whichever x64 or x86 version you use!
